Al-Nahw Al-Kafi
An Arabic grammar reference, shipped to both stores and to the web.
About
Mobile engineer in Egypt, working mostly in Flutter. My own product is an Arabic grammar app with more than a hundred thousand installs; the reusable parts of it go back out to pub.dev. Currently reading for an M.Sc. and moving towards research-adjacent work.
I write software for phones, mostly in Flutter, mostly for people who read Arabic. That second half is the part that shapes the work: right-to-left layout, naskh typography, and text that has to stay legible with diacritics on it are not a localisation pass at the end of a project — they decide the structure of it from the first screen.
The product I keep returning to is a grammar reference. It started because the books I learned from are organised for teaching and not for looking things up, and a phone is a looking-things-up device. Building it taught me more about typesetting Arabic than about Flutter, which is not what I expected.
Work that generalises goes back out. When a piece of an app turns out to be a widget rather than a screen, it gets pulled apart, documented and published, because a package with real documentation is worth more to the next person than a screenshot in a portfolio.
I am reading for an M.Sc. at the moment, and the direction I want to move in is research-adjacent — the parts of the field where a question is worth spending months on rather than a sprint. What that turns into is still open.
Everything I have shipped, filterable by subject. Each one opens its own page with the write-up and whatever links prove it.
