The problem

Arabic grammar is taught from books that assume you already know how to look things up in them. A learner who wants to know why a word carries the ending it does has to know the chapter it lives in before they can find it. That ordering is fine for a curriculum and hostile to someone reading on a phone.

What I built

A reference that is navigable rather than sequential: the rules of الإعراب laid out so a specific question can be answered in a few taps, on Android, on iOS, and on the web, from one source of content.

Decisions

One content pipeline, three surfaces. The rules are authored once and rendered by the app and by the web companion. A second copy would have drifted inside a month.

Arabic typography first. Naskh with room for the diacritics, a measure that does not force a line break mid-word, and a layout that was right-to-left from the first commit rather than mirrored later. Everything the site you are reading now enforces about direction started here.

Free, with no account. The thing that would most reduce use is a sign-up screen in front of a dictionary.
